What it does
Peach Payments provides African payment orchestration, checkout, local payment methods, payouts and reconciliation tools. Businesses can start with payment links or ecommerce plugins and use software integrations for more customised flows. Plans and eligibility vary by market, with business verification required and paid transaction processing.
Peach can connect online, mobile and in-store payments, with country-specific services in South Africa, Kenya and Mauritius.
From a link to a payment record
In the dashboard, open Payment Links and choose Activate Payment Links. Then select Payment Links > Create > Single payment link, enter the payment and customer details, choose the delivery method and create the link. Email, SMS and WhatsApp are available.
Use My links to see status, search by invoice or customer, and filter by date or amount. The Download a CSV option exports up to 20,000 links.
South African fees and checks
Growth lists 2.95% + R1.50 for a local card transaction using cardholder authentication, 3.50% + R1.50 for international cards and 1.50% + R1.50 for Pay by Bank. These are South African rand amounts, excluding VAT. Enterprise uses volume-based rates and lists a R300 monthly account fee; tokenisation, storing card references for future use, adds R200 monthly on either plan when used. Other payment methods have separate fees.
Apply through Get Started and wait for approval and the dashboard email. South African sole traders provide ID, business-name information and recent address and bank documents. Companies also supply registration, director and beneficial-owner details. Growth's daily settlement schedule begins after two weeks of trading; confirm the initial payout schedule during onboarding.
