What it does
PeaZip is an open-source archive manager with explicit archive conversion, extraction, checksum tools, and portable distributions. Graphical tasks can be exported as command-line scripts.
PeaZip extracts and recompresses an archive into a writable target format. A batch can create separate outputs or consolidate inputs using the separate-archive checkbox. Encrypted input needs its password. Originals stay unchanged unless Delete files after archiving is enabled, with confirmation required for deletion. RAR extraction is included; RAR creation requires installed WinRAR. Configure the task graphically and export it from Console as a script for reuse. Portable packages are offered for Windows, macOS and Linux.
Strengths
- Connects explicit archive conversion with script export.
