What it does
PEGI explains game age labels and descriptors covering subjects such as violence, fear, purchases and online features.
Use the age label together with the descriptors that explain why a game received it. A purchasing or communication label answers a different question from the fictional content. The guide is a practical reference for discussing a game’s features with a child before changing device or account controls.
PEGI’s guide now describes interactive-risk changes applying since June 2026. For newly submitted games, paid random items can affect the age rating, and unrestricted communication has its own rule. Check the game’s actual rating record and submission context when comparing it with an older release.
