Perseus provides searchable text collections, a catalog and tools for exploring classical material.
Start with the short tutorial if a text citation is unfamiliar. The search examples show that names, work locations and terms can lead into different parts of the library. Its catalog and collections serve sustained reading as well as a single passage lookup. Note the version when citing a tool or view.
The Hopper page identifies this interface as Perseus 4.0 and describes work on a later viewer. Record the edition or translation and passage reference alongside the interface you consulted.
