What it does

Personio manages employee records, time off and HR workflows. Request changes can restart approval, while process priority determines which matching approval workflow applies.

After changing time off, check its status again: requests requiring approval return to pending. Close an open-ended period before starting another request of the same type.

Administrators manage rules in Automations → Workflows → Approvals. When several processes match, the highest-priority one applies; place specific cases above general rules. Amending a multistep request after some approvals starts a new request for every designated reviewer. Changing a fully approved request invalidates the original, reverses its applied data changes and starts another review. Plan for that extra approval round when adjusting dates.

Personio quotes according to employee count, package and added Apps. Core covers employee files, time tracking, workflows and preliminary payroll; Core Pro expands document, signature and entity allowances and adds workforce planning and custom connections. The yearly subscription runs for at least twelve months, and initial setup carries a separate size-based fee.

An administrator invites new users, who register and set a password, or supplies an activation code. Your organization may use company sign-in instead of a Personio password.
