What it does
PetSmart sells pet food, litter, toys, beds, habitats and other supplies. Its site also provides Autoship information, store-service routes and an app for shopping and service bookings.
PetSmart separates habitat purchases from everyday consumables. Aquarium and terrarium routes sit alongside food, litter and accessories, while Autoship addresses products needed repeatedly. The site also promotes training and boarding-related services, which are different purchases from a bag of food. Begin with the pet and task, then choose a product, repeat-order or service route. Product examples identify sizes and formats, including starter habitat kits and automatic litter boxes, so the scope of a purchase can vary substantially within a category. Service availability belongs to the relevant booking and store information.
PetSmart’s Autoship controls let a shopper change the next date or frequency, skip a delivery, cancel or restart recurring orders. Changes must be made at least 24 hours before processing. A scheduled first order cannot be changed online and needs Customer Care. Autoship requires a credit or debit card; PayPal and gift cards are excluded from that recurring-payment route.
