What it does
Phocas Analytics combines connected business data, dashboards and an ad hoc Grid for detailed exploration. Its implementation process maps ERP and other source data into an analytical model for business users.
Phocas Analytics connects operational data to dashboards and the Grid, where users can explore customers, products or transactions. Implementation includes mapping the business data, reviewing the database and validating the result with the customer's team.
In the Grid, choose a dimension, select the rows of interest and click Focus. Totals and averages recalculate for that selection, while the status bar and dimension indicator show what is filtered. Exclude Selections removes chosen items instead. A locked selection lasts for the session unless saved as a favorite; Reset clears the filters.
Use Export at the upper right, choose a format and confirm to save the analysis. An Excel export includes a second sheet with the selection and period, which helps explain the figures when the file is passed on. PDF output may omit those details. Available formats depend on permissions and the size of the export.
Both Viewer and Full users need a Phocas account. Viewers can work with shared dashboards and favorites but cannot open their underlying analysis. Full licences allow more exploration, subject to permissions. Pricing is tailored to products, user licences and refresh frequency, with a separate one-time implementation fee.
