What it does
Piano Analytics collects and analyzes website, app and other digital activity. Its shared data model defines the events and properties used across an organization's sites, while Workspaces combines reports into boards for different teams. Production use requires an organizational account and a commercial agreement.
A single data model is shared across an organization's listed sites and apps. Administrators and data supervisors can edit it; analysts and delegates can read it. This gives an analytics team a common place to manage event and property definitions.
Put reports into a board
- Open Library or Data Query, click the lower-right + and choose New board.
- Add reports or funnels from the side panel. Search or filter by ownership to find the items you need.
- Arrange the tiles. In a tile's configuration, you can change its chart, metric, filter or fixed site and period.
- Set the board's name with the title pencil. Board Settings controls its default site, period and comparison.
- Close the title window and click Save. The board appears in Library as a private resource.
A board supports up to 10 pages, with 20 tiles per page and four per row. Creating boards requires the Manage data role or higher. If a private report is included in a public board, the board's viewers can see that report inside the board.
Evaluation and usage billing
Piano Support can arrange an evaluation account containing test data. It cannot track production sites, store customer data or become a permanent workspace.
Pricing is arranged with Piano. Analytics consumption uses Server Calls, usually received events, with contract-specific weights. After Support enables billing access, select your profile picture, open Organisation and switch to the organization ending (Usage). Its Library board shows consumption through the previous day, with filters for individual sites and breakdowns by event type.
