What it does
dpa Picture-Alliance is a visual-content marketplace for photographs, footage, graphics and illustrations. It combines news, sport and entertainment coverage with historical archives and creative collections.
Search terms are combined automatically; use OR for alternatives, NOT to exclude a term, quotation marks for a phrase or a tilde for similar spellings. German and English queries can help with material from different partners. The service desk also assists with archive research.
Choose Preis anfragen on a result or item page to request a quote for the proposed use. No registration is needed for that enquiry. An account adds Lightboxes, where several selected items can be submitted together.
The collection is rights-managed: the licence specifies media, reach, term and region. Later reuse or a different campaign may need an extension. Editorial-only labels and the Bildnachweis or Videonachweis credit remain relevant even when an image appears in a broader themed collection.
