What it does

Pigment connects finance, sales, workforce and operating plans through shared models and assumptions. Teams can compare scenarios and build model-connected views or input forms with Frames. A 14-day trial needs no card, becomes read-only afterward and requires a sales discussion for continued editable access.

Pigment keeps planning data, definitions and assumptions shared across finance, sales, HR and operations. Changes in one plan can show their impact elsewhere in the model, making scenarios useful for decisions involving several teams. Structures and hierarchies can evolve as the organization changes.

Frames adds interfaces over the live model, such as an executive view or input form. These can read and write model data. Embedded agents assist performance analysis and scenario simulation, while planners remain responsible for the assumptions behind the result.

Creating a scenario

Inside an application, open the sidebar's three-dot menu, choose Scenarios, then + New. Give it a unique name and select the Initial source of data, which supplies its starting data and formulas.

Choose the scope carefully. A Shared Scenario can work across applications; a Local Scenario stays within its application. A workspace administrator can turn off Shared Scenario when creating a local one. The type cannot be switched afterward.

The first scenario needs an administrator with the relevant creation permission. Later access depends on user roles. Scenario-specific metrics can vary, but changes to lists, boards or model structure can affect every scenario. A scenario therefore does not isolate every kind of edit.

What the trial includes

The trial lasts 14 days from the first login and requires no credit card. Registration creates a private workspace and sends access details by email. Describe a budget, forecast or other planning need to the AI agent, then refine the generated model. You can use supplied sample data or upload your own, and invite colleagues after the first model is created.

Storage, calculation capacity and AI credits are limited in the trial. Afterward, the workspace becomes read-only so you can still review the work. Continued editing requires contacting Pigment; purchasing is not available directly inside the trial.

Strengths

  • Scenarios can connect assumptions across several applications
  • Frames supports views and forms tied to the live planning model
  • Trial work remains available to view after editing access ends

Watch out for

  • Local and Shared Scenario types cannot be converted after creation
  • Changes to lists and model structure can affect all scenarios
  • The trial limits storage, calculation capacity and AI credits

Best for

  • Finance teams coordinating plans with operational budget owners
  • Organizations evaluating connected financial and workforce scenarios
