What it does

PinnacleCart provides a storefront, checkout and product administration for physical goods, services and downloads. Merchants can reuse attributes across products, track individual variations and change catalogues through CSV files. Inventory settings determine stock alerts and what shoppers see when an item sells out.

Use global attributes when several PinnacleCart products share the same option set. An attribute can be required or change price or weight. A variant identifies a particular combination with its own inventory, such as a large blue jacket.

Set the level at which stock is counted

Open a product under Products, then find Inventory Tracking Options in Advanced Settings. Product-level tracking uses one shared quantity across its options. Variant-level tracking separates those quantities: create the attributes first, add each variant and enter its stock and low-stock notification threshold.

Purchases reduce the tracked quantity. At product level, an unavailable item can be hidden or shown with an out-of-stock message. Combined variants remain visible with that message, since hiding a shared colour or size could affect other combinations.

Mixed product catalogues

A tangible item uses different settings from a service or downloadable file. Digital goods can have a per-user download limit, while minimum and maximum order quantities apply to individual products. CSV imports and exports support changes across the catalogue.

The published Everything Package includes API access, split shipping, recurring billing and unlimited administrators. Package enquiries go through sales, and a free trial is offered. The store-creation form asks for the store name, merchant name, email and telephone number. Bespoke design is a separately scoped service and can add a charge.

Strengths

  • Shared attributes avoid recreating an option set for every product
  • Separate variant counts and low-stock alerts support detailed catalogues
  • Digital download limits and physical-stock controls serve different product types

Watch out for

  • Combined variants stay visible when out of stock rather than being hidden
  • Bespoke store design can add a separate charge

Best for

  • Merchants managing product options and mixed physical, service or download catalogues
