What it does

Pirsch Analytics is a hosted service for website traffic, events and conversion goals. It can collect through a script, supported integrations or a backend API, with additional funnel and segmentation capabilities on higher plans.

Event collection affects Pirsch's usage allowance: pageviews, custom events and 10% of session-extension events count toward the monthly limit. Estimate all three if the site tracks many actions. Standard includes 50 websites, unlimited members and retention, events and goals; Plus adds unlimited websites, funnels and tag-based segmentation.

To measure visits to a useful destination, open Settings > Goals or use the plus icon in the Conversion Goals panel. Give the goal a name and a path pattern, an event, or both. For example, /blog/* matches one level below the blog directory, while /blog/** also includes deeper paths. The goal appears on the dashboard; click it to filter the dashboard to that action or expand the panel for more detail.

Create an account with email to start the trial. It lasts 30 days or 100,000 pageviews, with no credit card required. A subscription is required afterward; without it, collection stops and the date selector remains limited to the trial period.

During a paid billing cycle, reaching the allowance also restricts report access. Pirsch continues collecting for five more days, giving you time to upgrade before gaps develop. The Billing page shows usage by domain, and statistics can be exported as CSV or accessed through the API.
