What it does
HackerNoon’s Pixel Icon Library supplies pixel-style artwork, a Figma component library, an icon-font package and raster sizes.
HackerNoon's Pixel Icon Library brings a deliberate pixel treatment to interface symbols. The SVG drawings follow a 24px grid, while prepared PNGs cover several small sizes and light or dark presentation. A Figma component file and an icon-font package provide separate routes into design and implementation.
For a web page, use the SVG as an image or inline artwork, or install the package and apply its hn icon classes. The Figma route requires a Figma account to duplicate the library. Choose the prepared raster size deliberately when a crisp pixel appearance matters.
Free artwork use requires credit. Paid Starter licensing removes attribution for one project, product or client engagement; Pro covers multiple projects under its team and distribution conditions. Both are one-time purchases. Supporting files use MIT terms, but that code license should not be substituted for the artwork's attribution or paid-license terms.
Strengths
- Prepared raster sizes accompany the SVG artwork.
- Figma and package delivery support design and development use.
Watch out for
- Free artwork use requires attribution.
Best for
- Retro and pixel-style interfaces
