What it does
Planday combines staff schedules, time tracking and workforce administration. Templates can replace or merge shifts, with draft publication for changes that need review.
Create a day or week pattern in Schedule → Templates. Apply it by merging shifts, replacing the schedule or adding to existing shifts. Copy week can overwrite unprotected assignments; use an empty destination.
Apply as draft keeps the proposed shifts hidden from employees; Apply publishes them immediately. Draft and published shifts can coexist, allowing managers to prepare changes while staff still see their current work. Publish selected shifts when only part of the schedule is ready. Avoid manual template breaks if automatic or clock-recorded breaks would count them again.
