What it does

Planful combines planning, financial close, consolidation and reporting, with connections for bringing business data into the finance process. Organisations arrange a paid subscription through a quote and give users access to their customer workspace.

Planful links the reporting cycle with the planning cycle in one finance platform. Accounting teams can consolidate several entities, translate currencies and remove balances between group companies before using the results in reports and plans. It supports multiple charts of accounts and ownership structures, making it relevant to groups whose subsidiaries do not all keep their books in the same format.

Implementation starts with the organisation's reporting structure. Identify the entities contributing actual results, the departments responsible for forecasts and systems feeding each set of figures. Planful provides configurable consolidation rules and connections for those sources. The same shared data supports close, planning and reporting as the business adds entities or changes its requirements.

Access and commercial terms

Planful is sold through a subscription order that specifies the services, fees and term. Fees are invoiced in advance, with taxes additional. The agreement normally makes the purchased commitment non-cancellable and non-refundable, so the chosen scope matters before the order is signed.

Users work through a customer application login. Within the application, Help → Self Service Options → Online Help opens the detailed guidance; an AI help assistant is another support route. Public product pages offer a sales demo for evaluating the platform before deployment.

Strengths

  • Close, consolidation and planning use a shared set of financial data.
