What it does
Plant Parent offers plant identification, a custom care calendar and task reminders. Its plant-management material also addresses placement and questions about a plant's condition.
An unnamed plant is a useful first task for Plant Parent: use the photo-identification route to establish a candidate identity, then research the care requirements before adding a schedule. The calendar keeps watering and other recurring tasks together through the year. Identification and condition-assessment features serve different questions, so avoid treating the result of one as the answer to the other. The service also advertises access to experts for gardening questions. Keep observations about the actual plant alongside any app guidance, especially when a reminder appears despite different light, temperature or soil conditions.
A self-created account is optional, but the FAQ recommends linking an email to recover data on a replacement device. It lists personalised care guides and scheduled reminders as Premium features. A trial can renew into an annual subscription; check the offer and cancellation route in the store before starting it.
