What it does
PS Remote Play streams supported PS4 or PS5 play from a personal console to compatible computers, phones and other devices. A network-connected console is required.
Check the device and controller requirements before leaving the TV behind. Remote Play uses the game running on your own console, unlike a cloud catalogue subscription. Mobile-data use counts against the carrier’s allowance, and Sony describes minimum and recommended connection speeds rather than guaranteeing the same quality on every network.
Sony specifies at least 5 Mbps and recommends 15 Mbps. On mobile data, the app’s video-quality setting helps control allowance use; speed alone does not settle latency or controller compatibility.
