What it does
Environmental education resources that use trees, forests and outdoor topics for children's learning.
Project Learning Tree connects environmental topics with activities for educators and families, spanning preschool through twelfth grade and a separate nature collection for ages one to six. Its resource collection and activity finder can help narrow a broad interest in nature into a teachable question. Select an activity, read its preparation notes and decide what learners should observe. Returning to those observations in a drawing, chart or conversation gives the outdoor part of the lesson something concrete to build on.
Strengths
- Environmental learning includes activity discovery and educator resources.
