What it does
PocketSmith combines personal accounts, transactions, budgets and future balance forecasts in a web app with iOS and Android companions. You register for an account, then import bank files or use supported automatic feeds on a paid plan. The free plan includes two accounts, 12 budgets and a six-month forecast.
Turn upcoming bills into a forecast
After importing transactions, open Budget and choose Start beside a category or + New budget. Set the amount, whether it is income or spending, the repeat interval and the account whose balance it should affect. Advanced Options adds start and end dates, transfer handling and a bill or scheduled-income setting.
You can also click a date on Calendar to create the budget there. Saving it adds the planned event to the forecast. For example, changing the date of a planned renovation payment lets you see its effect on the selected account's future balance. Future bills and income are planning assumptions, not promises about what will happen.
PocketSmith prices and limits
These are the website's US-dollar monthly prices. All paid tiers allow unlimited accounts and budgets. Annual billing is also offered at the displayed monthly equivalents of US$9.99 for Foundation, US$16.66 for Flourish and US$26.66 for Fortune, charged annually.

Automatic feeds cover supported institutions in countries including the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand. Bank-file imports provide another route when a feed is unavailable. A paid subscription starts with a charge; the 14-day money-back offer is a refund policy.
Export selected or complete records
On Transactions, select All transactions or search for the entries you need. Use Export in the toolbar and choose XLSX or CSV. PocketSmith also lets you invite a partner, family member or coach as a collaborator.
Strengths

- Documents can sit beside the transactions and budgets they explain.
Watch out for
- Assigning a budget to an account changes the forecast only. Transactions in that category count against the budget regardless of which account paid them.
