Podsift

What it does

Podsift sends a daily email that summarizes new episodes from podcasts you choose. You enter and verify your email address, then pick from more than 90 podcasts. Each time a selected show releases a new episode, a summary arrives in your inbox.

Podsift is an email service that summarizes new podcast episodes. The homepage says you can become knowledgeable in just 5 minutes, and it describes a three step process: enter and verify your email, pick from 90+ podcasts, then receive summaries in your inbox every time a new episode is released. The site shows sample summaries for individual podcasts and links to past summaries, so you can judge the style before signing up. Sign up is free. The homepage does not state how the summaries are generated, how long they are, or how quickly they arrive after an episode is published. It also does not list which podcasts are covered beyond the count of 90+. If you follow many shows and want a short written digest by email, this may help. If you need a specific show or a mobile app, check the site first because the homepage does not mention either.
