What it does
Polarsteps combines trip planning, automatic route tracking and a travel journal. Travellers can add stays and activities, publish photos or stories, control who can follow a trip and create video or printed recaps.
Set the audience before treating the journal as a public travel feed. Polarsteps offers private, friends-and-family and public trip visibility, allowing the record to serve different purposes. A family update and a personal archive do not need the same sharing setting.
The route tracker works offline, while photos, videos and written steps add the detail that a line on a map cannot explain. Planning tools keep intended stays and activities with the trip. After travelling, a Trip Reel or hardback Travel Book provides another way to revisit the material. The printed book is a separate choice from recording the journey. Use the map to organise memories and future ideas, keeping current opening or transport information with the relevant travel provider.
