What it does
Pontem Wallet stores and transfers assets across supported networks including Aptos, Ethereum, Solana and Base. Its free mobile apps and browser extensions include collectibles, application access and Ledger connections. Bitcoin support is still advertised as coming soon.
Pontem's Collectibles tab brings supported NFTs into the wallet, while its application directory connects to services such as Liquidswap on Aptos. An Aptos name ending in .apt can make a supported recipient easier to recognize. Check the selected network as well as the name or token symbol before preparing a transfer.
The wallet can import an existing account or create additional accounts under a recovery phrase. Ledger connections keep the hardware account's signing keys on the device. Software-wallet credentials remain separate from any account you create with an exchange or another application.
Application permissions have a detail worth understanding. The first connection request opens a confirmation in Pontem. Once permitted, the site can obtain the selected account's address and public key. A developer-triggered disconnect ends the current connection but does not remove the site from the wallet's allowed list. Remove it from that list in the wallet interface if you want to withdraw the continuing permission; simply closing the page is a different action.
The iPhone app is free to download. Network activity and connected services can still cost money, and Pontem's terms require applicable service charges to be disclosed when you access that service. A wallet connection does not approve every later transaction, so inspect signing requests independently.
Choose the download linked by Pontem for your device. Mobile and extension features can differ, and the published documentation remains more detailed for Aptos than for every network advertised on the current product page.
