What it does
Kew's Plants of the World Online provides plant names, synonyms, distributions, descriptions and images.
Search a plant name and inspect its description and distribution together. This helps place a name in biological context rather than treating it as only a label. The site also links its data and citation guidance. Use IPNI for a publication-history question, since POWO's broader plant information serves a different reference need.
Keep the credit attached to any image you want to reproduce. The homepage itself displays a separately credited image, so a plant record is not evidence that every linked image has the same reuse terms.
