What it does
PramukhIME provides Indian-language typing through Windows, Android and browser interfaces, with typing guidance for each route.
PramukhIME offers different routes to the same Unicode typing task. The online editor lets you choose an Indian language and type using transliteration rules without installing software. The resulting Unicode text can be used in desktop or mobile applications. For input directly into Windows programs, the portable Windows edition is explicitly free; its instructions say to extract the ZIP and follow the included readme rather than run from inside the archive. Android, Firefox and website-integration offerings are separate routes, so their setup and licensing should be checked individually.
