NetPrimer analyzes primer properties, melting temperature and predicted secondary structures through a web interface.
NetPrimer analyzes an individual primer or primer pair through a web interface. It uses nearest-neighbor thermodynamics for predicted melting temperature and checks hairpins, self-dimers and pair cross-dimers, alongside GC content, molecular weight and optical activity in nmol/A260 and µg/A260. Its primer rating is based on predicted secondary-structure stability. An analysis report can be printed for one primer or a pair, and the product describes formula/reference help. Although the product is labelled free, the Access NetPrimer link currently leads to a username/password page with registration. Treat these calculated properties and rankings as model predictions when comparing candidate sequences.
