What it does
Priceless BIAB calculates brewing process quantities using recipe, equipment, absorption, loss and efficiency inputs.
Priceless BIAB exposes recipe, equipment, absorption and loss inputs beside estimated and measured process quantities. Its imperial form distinguishes grain absorption in gal/lb, hop absorption in gal/g and boil-off in gal/hour; metric and imperial-with-gram-hops options are separate selectors. Water outputs carry temperature references, including 68°F room-volume and hot mash/boil volumes, so keep those references when comparing measurements. Version 2.5 offers simple/advanced/efficiency layouts and local save/load/import/export controls. The linked 2017 Version 2.0/2.1 guide describes named browser local storage and copyable text-string export/import; it says the note area was excluded from saved profiles in that release. Autoscale adjusts grain bill against target OG using the mash analysis.
Strengths
- Equipment losses and absorption are explicit inputs
- Estimated and measured process quantities are separated
Best for
- Planning a brew-in-a-bag process from equipment data
