What it does
Printify’s mockup generator places artwork on products in its catalogue. Products provide views such as flat lays, close-ups or different angles, depending on the item. Ready-made mockups are free, while custom AI scenes are a Premium feature.
Printify keeps each set of mockup views with its saved product. Choose a catalogue item and print provider, upload artwork or add text, then adjust the design and select colours and sizes. Most products allow up to 20 layers per print area. Preview can show RGB or CMYK rendering, with that choice also affecting images exported to a sales channel.
A single view can be downloaded from Preview. For several views, open the saved product's Mockup Library, filter by colour, size or image type, and download the set. A white background remains white in the Preview route; the library offers white or transparent backgrounds. Available scenes and background controls still depend on the product.
Ready-made mockups are free and have no watermark. Premium adds AI scenes for selected products, with model or close-up views and background prompts. Its pages currently disagree on the daily generation allowance, so confirm that quota in the account. The terms reserve standard digital mockup assets for advertising and selling Printify products, excluding products fulfilled through other provider networks.
