What it does
ProductionCrate combines visual-effects footage, motion graphics, audio, textures and 3D assets. Its free account allows five downloads a day from the basic libraries, with paid access to additional files and higher resolutions.
After registering and signing in, click an asset thumbnail for the large preview, then use the blue Download button. A star marks Pro content; adding “free” to a search helps find the free selection. Available formats appear when you hover over the download icon.
Choose a file that suits the compositing method. ProRes 4444 or a PNG sequence can preserve transparency; a black-background effect may need Screen blending, while green-background footage needs colour keying. If an effect will not import, change the preferred download format on the member page.
Licensing depends on who the work is for. Free, Personal and Pro accounts cannot cover work for a company or institution, including client projects; that requires an Enterprise licence. Eligible finished productions may use the assets, but reusable-file redistribution and use in AI-assisted creation tools are prohibited.
