What it does
WordStat combines text mining, dictionary-based categorization and word relationships, with access back to source passages.
Start in WordStat’s Explorer view with frequent words, phrases or topics, then use keyword retrieval or KWIC to inspect the source sentences, paragraphs or documents. That context matters when the same word has different meanings. Dictionary and proximity rules can formalize a category before it is compared with structured survey variables. Supported inputs include Word, Excel, HTML, XML, statistical datasets and other document routes. Results can export to Excel, SPSS, ASCII, HTML, XML or Word, with graphs in PNG, BMP or JPEG. A 14-day trial is linked; integration or preprocessing components need their own scope checked.
