What it does
QDA Miner analyzes supplied qualitative text and images through coding, annotation, retrieval and visual analysis. The family includes a free Lite edition and a paid full product with broader analytical and teamwork capabilities.
QDA Miner combines manual coding with tools for finding related text and inspecting code patterns. In the full product, Report Manager keeps queries, tables, graphs, notes and quotations together. A command log records project access and analytical operations, while teamwork tools include code merging and comparison between coders. Geographic and time tags can place coded events on maps or timelines.
Free QDA Miner Lite imports text and images, organizes codes in a tree, and attaches memos. Boolean and proximity searches retrieve relevant passages; charts and exports summarize coding.
The Windows download form requests a name and email. Microsoft consumer email addresses may not receive its download message.
Lite projects cannot be merged or imported into the full-product trial. They can be imported into the paid full version, which matters when planning a later upgrade.
