What it does
Psiphon provides apps for Android, iOS and Windows, using automatic connection methods with a free ad-supported offer and paid Plus access.
Psiphon is built around connecting on networks that block common access methods. The app tries multiple connection techniques automatically, so a user does not begin by choosing a protocol or importing server files. Its provider operates the network and continually changes its connection infrastructure.
Basic access is free and ad-supported with fewer features; Plus removes ads and expands access, and the provider says neither requires an account. Android users also have a Conduit participation option that shares spare connection capacity. Treat that as an additional sharing decision when choosing how to use the service, rather than a requirement for ordinary installation.
Psiphon's policy excludes stored IP addresses, visited services and traffic content. It does retain aggregate network statistics indefinitely, and diagnostic feedback can also remain indefinitely, including an email you choose to include. During major censorship events it may keep a selected non-identifying connection-data subset longer, with details in a privacy bulletin. Those operational and feedback records matter separately from its no-account connection flow.
