What it does

PTGui is panorama stitching software for Windows, Mac and Linux, with automatic overlap detection and support for multi-row and fisheye inputs.

Load overlapping photos, inspect their alignment and choose projection and output format before rendering with Create Panorama. Pro adds bracketed HDR and exposure-fusion workflows; the unlimited-duration trial watermarks panoramas. RAW support follows LibRaw, and edits stored in another converter's sidecar are ignored. Export consistently developed 16-bit TIFFs when those adjustments matter. For large output, JPEG stops at 65,535 pixels per edge; TIFF above 4 GB switches to BigTIFF, which the receiving application must support.

Strengths

  • Automatic overlap detection
  • Multi-row and fisheye stitching

Watch out for

  • Trial panoramas are watermarked, and large BigTIFF output is not readable by every TIFF application.

Best for

  • Creating broad or immersive panoramas
