What it does

IO Technologies provides publisher-focused content analytics with article, author, source and device reports. Its tools include engagement measures, newsroom dashboards and conversion or multimedia reporting on higher subscriptions. Account registration leads into website setup and a trial.

IO Technologies is built around newsroom questions: which articles attract readers, how deeply they read, and whether they continue to another story. Its recirculation measure describes that move to further content, while author, source and device reports provide different ways to examine readership. Dashboards can be personalized to show selected sections.

The subscription tiers set both traffic capacity and access for colleagues:

Plan Monthly pageviews User seats Added scope
Lite 2 million 10 Article and readership reporting
Smart 5 million 20 Conversion tracking
Enterprise 20 million Unlimited Multimedia, homepage tools and API access for integrations

To begin, register with email and password or use Google or LinkedIn. The registration flow then lists Add website, Choose plan and Integration. The trial starts through that account setup.

Exports and email digests make the reports usable beyond the live newsroom display. Article metadata also matters for author comparisons: IO's help topics address missing articles and duplicate author names, which can otherwise split one writer's work across different entries.

Strengths

  • Reports are organized around publisher content and engagement tasks.
  • Sharing, exports and digests support newsroom reporting.

Watch out for

  • Monthly pageviews and user seats have plan-specific allowances.

Best for

  • Newsrooms and audience teams reviewing articles and editorial engagement
