What it does
Pure-FTPd is a BSD-licensed FTP server for Unix-like systems, supporting virtual accounts, privilege separation and optional TLS.
Pure-FTPd focuses on FTP hosting for Unix-like systems. Configure virtual accounts and per-user quotas or bandwidth limits when different users need separate allowances. It can also stop new uploads at a selected disk-occupancy threshold and show active transfers through pure-ftpwho. TLS support is optional and uses OpenSSL, so encryption must be deliberately configured when required. This is FTP/FTPS server software; an SFTP client connection is a different protocol requirement.
