What it does
Qalculate! is a desktop calculator combining unit-aware arithmetic, symbolic operations, plotting and configurable functions.
Qalculate! combines unit-aware arithmetic, symbolic work, uncertainty and plotting through graphical and command-line interfaces. Its manual shows an expression such as distance divided by time converted directly to km/h; a requested unit can also produce a mixed feet-and-inches result or a single decimal unit. Variables reuse values and plot expressions include explicit ranges. Exact mode can retain radicals. Root choice matters: the examples distinguish a real cube-root function from a fractional power's principal complex root. Function arguments use semicolons, with commas allowed when they are not serving as decimal or grouping separators. The software is GPL version 2 or later.
