What it does

Quantower is a Windows trading and market-analysis platform with charting, replay, options tools and broker connections. You can arrange separate panels across a workspace and keep that layout for later. A lasting free edition needs no Quantower registration; advanced features and additional connections require a licence.

Quantower treats each panel as a separate function that can be grouped or linked into a workspace. Arrange a watchlist, chart and market-depth view around one market, then save the layout. Asset-specific panels include an options analyzer and forward curve; the paid edition can connect several data sources at once.

Open the Workspaces manager and choose Create new. Give the workspace a name, then start blank or use a predefined panel set. Lock prevents accidental moves and resizing. Quantower saves workspaces locally every five minutes and on exit, and Ctrl+S saves the active one immediately. For example, you could keep a futures workspace separate from an options layout without rebuilding either.

Free edition and licences

The free edition has no time limit and allows one active connection, two indicators per chart and one symbol overlay. Download it for Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. A broker or data provider may have its own account requirements.

Register a Quantower account, confirm your email and sign in through the app to start the seven-day full-feature trial. All-in-One adds simultaneous connections, volume analysis and advanced charting. Individual paid features are also available. Licences run for one, three, six or twelve months, or for the product's lifetime; Quantower says they do not renew or charge automatically.

Market-data subscriptions cost extra. Developers can use the C# programming interface to add indicators, strategies and connections.

Strengths

  • Workspace locking prevents accidental panel changes
  • Individual paid features can be added to the free edition
  • The C# interface supports custom indicators and strategies

Watch out for

  • The free edition permits only one active connection
  • Third-party market data is outside the software licence

Best for

  • Windows users building separate futures, options or multi-market workspaces
  • Developers extending their trading desktop with C#
