What it does

Quicken Simplifi combines categorized transactions, bills, subscriptions and savings goals. Its Spending Plan calculates what remains after planned commitments, and one additional person can share the financial space. The web and mobile service supports US and Canadian accounts and requires an annual subscription.

Simplifi starts the monthly plan with income and subtracts bills and subscriptions. Add planned purchases and savings goals so that the remaining amount reflects those commitments as well. This is useful when a plain category total does not answer how much is left for the rest of the month.

In Spending Plan, review the recurring income and bills Simplifi identifies. Add Planned Spend takes a name, target amount and category, plus a rollover balance. That lets a larger occasional purchase sit beside recurring commitments. The Left This Month figure changes as transactions arrive.

Share a plan with one person

Open Settings → Spaces & sharing, then the space's three-dot menu and Invite member. Your guest needs a separate Quicken ID but no additional Simplifi subscription. They must accept and sign in through the web app; starting in the mobile app can incorrectly lead them to a subscription prompt. Sharing selected individual accounts is not currently supported.

Annual billing and account coverage

The US product page advertises US$3.99 per month, billed annually, for new direct customers' first year, against a displayed regular rate of US$6.99 per month. The promotion ends November 26, 2026. Quicken says the final annual total may differ from multiplying the displayed monthly figure by 12. Renewal uses the then-current standard annual price.

There is no free plan or free trial. Direct purchases have a 30-day money-back guarantee. An active subscription is also required to view existing data.

Simplifi connects to US and Canadian institutions and handles USD or CAD, one currency at a time. Combining both currencies can distort balances. Quicken Classic is a separate desktop product and does not automatically synchronize with Simplifi.

Strengths

  • Savings goals and irregular purchases can be included in the Spending Plan
  • One invited member uses a separate login without another subscription
  • Editable planned spending includes a rollover balance

Watch out for

  • Annual subscription required even to view existing data
  • Tracks only one currency at a time
  • Sharing is limited to one additional person

Best for

  • People planning flexible spending after recurring bills
  • US or Canadian couples who want a shared financial overview
