What it does

Quiver Quantitative organizes congressional trades, insider activity, institutional holdings and other alternative market datasets. Public dashboards support searches by company or political figure. Premium adds alerts, screening and backtesting, while a separately priced programming interface supports custom data analysis.

Quiver’s Congress Trading dashboard offers two useful starting points: enter a politician’s name or a stock ticker. The results distinguish the transaction date from the filing date. That gap matters because a newly visible disclosure can describe an older trade; it should not be treated as a live order.

The wider dataset catalogue includes government contracts, lobbying, company insiders and institutional holdings. Keep the dataset category with a comparison, since a disclosed holding, a contract award and a recent share purchase describe different events. Backtested strategy figures are hypothetical and omit some real execution effects.

Access route Published price Main scope
Visitor dashboard Free Public alternative-data views
Premium website $300 per year, billed annually Alerts, screeners, strategy tools and exportable samples
Hobbyist API $30 monthly or $300 yearly Selected datasets through a programming interface; no commercial rights

New Premium accounts have a seven-day trial on monthly billing or a 30-day trial on annual billing, followed by the selected charge unless cancelled. The API has its own dataset and licensing tiers; a website subscription and a data licence are separate choices.
