What it does

QUODD supplies financial institutions with market prices, reference data, corporate actions and other security information. Its QX tools support browser lookups, bulk reports and programming interfaces, or APIs, for integration. Commercial access is arranged around the required data and delivery method, with a limited developer trial available.

A single-security question and a recurring portfolio-pricing job use different QUODD routes. QX Lookup handles an individual instrument. QX Query lets you upload a list of securities, choose fields, save a query template and download results as CSV, pipe-delimited files or JSON. QX Automate connects those workflows to other systems.

For example, an operations team can keep a securities list and field selection as a reusable template instead of assembling the same closing-price report each day. QX also supports scheduled reporting. Available data spans pricing, corporate actions, descriptive fields and fixed-income details; the applicable timing can be real-time, delayed, historical or end-of-day.

QUODD's programming interfaces include request-based and streaming delivery. Its separate Equity+ workstation provides a screen-based route for market data and charts.

Start through Get Started for a requirements discussion covering content, delivery and workflow. The developer trial lasts seven days and permits 250 API calls, with sample code and supporting guides. A demonstration is the alternative for teams evaluating the screens without writing code.

Sign in to the account portal to manage authentication tokens, payment details and subscription or trial usage. The agreement sets renewal terms. Consistently exceeding a paid monthly usage allowance requires an upgrade rather than establishing an unlimited-data entitlement.

Strengths

  • Bulk queries save field selections as reusable templates
  • Exports include CSV, pipe-delimited data and JSON
  • Scheduled reporting and streaming delivery serve different operational needs

Watch out for

  • The developer trial is limited to seven days and 250 calls
  • Sustained use above a paid allowance requires a higher tier

Best for

  • Institutional operations teams automating security-pricing reports
  • Developers integrating market and reference data into financial applications
