What it does
qutebrowser is a keyboard-oriented browser with documented controls for host/ad blocking, cookies, JavaScript and Chromium sandboxing.
qutebrowser expresses browser policy through settings and keyboard commands. Its blocking method can use host lists, an Adblock Plus-style engine, or both. The default auto choice uses the ABP-style engine when its optional dependency is installed and host blocking otherwise. Cookie acceptance defaults to all, cookie storage is enabled, and JavaScript is enabled; URL patterns let you change supported settings for individual sites.
Use the recommended QtWebEngine backend. The project warns that the older QtWebKit route has known security issues, and its reference documents backend and version differences in per-domain cookie handling. The application uses GPLv3-or-later; bundled components such as pdf.js have separate terms.
