What it does
Qwant is a search engine that describes its default search as avoiding stored search history and resale of personal data. Optional account and AI features have additional data-sharing terms.
Qwant offers ordinary web search alongside account-based AI answers and page summaries. Its overview says some advanced features require partner data sharing and lets users refuse that sharing when creating an account.
That choice does not describe every kind of processing. The privacy policy also lists pseudonymous search and interaction statistics, including a salted IP hash, and three-day retention of called URLs and requests for technical supervision. Account data and advertising consent have separate retention rules. Choose the features and consent settings deliberately; the general promise not to keep a personal search history does not mean every operational record is absent.
