What it does
Rapyd combines card acquiring, local payment methods, wallet infrastructure and payout services. A merchant can use a hosted payment link, while a platform can connect collection and disbursement through an API. Payment coverage, merchant account eligibility and payout destinations are separate parts of the service.
Rapyd presents collection and disbursement as parts of the same platform. Its country network distinguishes ways to receive money from ways to send it: for example, Brazil's collection list includes cash, while its payout list names bank, card and stablecoin routes. Customer reach therefore should not be read as a list of countries where any merchant can open an account.
Payment links can be used once for an invoice or kept available for repeated purchases. Share the link in an email, message, invoice or website; the customer is taken to Rapyd's hosted checkout. A larger integration can use its API or checkout toolkit instead.
The Wallet and business-account tools add virtual accounts, balances and payout reporting. Reports can distinguish fees, payment methods and beneficiaries, while Payout Tracker provides payment status and proof of payout. Product and contracting terms matter here: Rapyd's Hong Kong business-account terms explicitly state that Rapyd is not a bank.
Published local processing rates
Rapyd publishes the following examples for eligible local entities taking domestic card payments:
| Market | Published transaction rate | Particular condition |
|---|---|---|
| Chile | 3.49% | International-card processing needs a separate account and rate |
| Colombia | 3.29% + COP 300 | Local-entity domestic-card offer |
| Peru | 3.40% + PEN 0.69 | Monthly volume below PEN 10,000 |
These offers exclude taxes and businesses classified as high risk. They are not a global price list. The pricing page also specifies monthly administrative charges in several Latin American markets when an account is more than 12 months old and has recorded no sales for over six consecutive months.
Contact Rapyd for the business's market and product combination. Merchant registration and compliance checks precede account use; an available customer payment method does not itself establish merchant eligibility.
