What it does

RawFilm offers related stock-footage collections with 4K to 8K material, including RED-camera RAW files. Its main catalogue uses paid subscriptions and individual clip licensing. A separate Business Meeting page provides free HD clips with commercial-use permission.

Use Download All Previews to bring an entire collection into an edit before choosing the final shots. Individual preview links sit below the video player and require an account.

After licensing, open your account profile and My Licenses. Each clip offers RAW (R3D or CinemaDNG), ProRes 422 LT and H.264 downloads, plus a licence PDF.

The annual plan lists 1,000 clip licences per year; the monthly plan allows 50 a month, with unused monthly allowances rolling forward. A clip licence covers one production, so using it in another end product requires another licence. Clips marked Editorial Use cannot be used commercially.

For a smaller job, the Business Meeting page has direct Download HD links. Those clips can be modified and used commercially without required attribution, but cannot be resold, redistributed or relicensed.

Strengths

  • Whole collections can be downloaded as previews
  • Licensed clips provide RAW and two ready-to-edit alternatives

Watch out for

  • Paid clip licences are tied to a single production
  • Incidental music and dialogue are excluded from the footage licence

Best for

  • Filmmakers who need related scenes and control over RAW footage
