What it does
RC-Astro's image-processing tools provide astronomical deconvolution, noise reduction and star separation through a standalone command-line workflow or supported editor plugins.
Use the standalone CLI to choose BlurXTerminator, NoiseXTerminator or StarXTerminator and process TIF, FITS, XISF or PNG files without a host editor. Stellar and nonstellar sharpening controls can be adjusted separately; wildcards repeat the same settings over a set of inputs. Output normally adds the product name to the source filename, with a destination and bit-depth override available. Existing outputs are refused unless overwrite is explicitly enabled. The CLI needs activated product licences, including trial licences; activation, model downloads and updates require internet access, so preload models before offline work. The current bundle lists Windows 10 22H2 or later, macOS 14 or later and Ubuntu 22.04 or equivalent; supported host plugins also need their listed editor versions.
