What it does

Rebill helps businesses charge customers through local payment methods, hosted checkout and recurring billing in Latin America. Companies can collect locally or arrange cross-border settlement, depending on their setup. Registration currently requires a registered company and supporting business documents; payment processing has transaction fees.

A course provider can use a reusable product link for enrollment, a plan link for recurring tuition, or an Instant Link for a single balance payment. In the dashboard, open Payment Links, choose Create Payment Link and select the relevant type. Select or create the product or plan when needed.

Under Advanced, set expiry, allow coupons, prefill customer fields and choose the payment methods. Preview both the checkout and success pages, then Publish. Copy the address or generate a QR code. An Instant Link stops working after it has been paid.

Local and cross-border charges

Rebill has separate pricing for companies collecting locally and for other arrangements. Its Colombia local-entity page lists these transaction fees, excluding VAT and applicable withholding:

Method Fee
Local credit or debit card 3.29% + COP 800
International card 4.29% + COP 800
PSE bank transfer 3.29% + COP 800

That Colombia offer includes refunds and transfers to the merchant bank account without a Rebill fee; a dispute costs COP 60,000 plus VAT. Confirm the applicable fund-availability schedule with Rebill before relying on it for cash flow.

The general cross-border schedule separates processing and currency-conversion charges. Its FAQ lists USD 2 per refund and USD 15 per dispute, with different transfer charges and release periods. A local tariff should not be used to estimate a cross-border collection.

Strengths

  • Custom metadata can carry an order or campaign identifier into payment notifications and API lookups.
  • The checkout adjusts its language and local payment options to the customer, while logos and colors can be customized.

Watch out for

  • Card installments depend on the country and need configuration through Rebill support.

Best for

  • Education businesses selling courses across Latin American markets
  • Subscription businesses needing local collection and a choice of settlement arrangements
