What it does
Recipe Keeper collects typed, imported and scanned recipes across phones, tablets and computers. It combines recipe search, meal planning and shopping lists with tools for designing a cookbook to print or share as a PDF.
Start with one family recipe: type it, import a web page or scan a photo, PDF or handwritten card, then check the converted text. Course, category and rating help organize the collection. A serving-size control recalculates ingredients, and the meal planner can send the planned recipes to a shopping list.
The cookbook tools are a particular distinction. They support covers, chapters, contents pages and custom text, which is useful when the aim is a family recipe gift rather than only a searchable app library. Recipes remain available offline across supported devices. Alexa instructions are offered in English only, so that hands-free route has a narrower language scope than the general collection.
The Apple listing offers a free download with a paid Pro upgrade and says other platforms require separate purchases. Budget for those separately if you want to manage the same collection across phone and computer.
