What it does
Firefox Relay forwards mail through randomly generated masks and can remove common email trackers. Its free and premium offers differ in mask counts, reply support and other features.
Relay’s dashboard lets a user create masks, label their purpose and block messages to an address that gets unwanted mail. The forwarding workflow keeps an existing inbox in place, so there is no need to move old messages just to stop giving every site the same address.
The official comparison places replies, a personal Relay domain and unlimited masks in Premium. It also displays waitlist links for premium offers, making current availability something to check before planning around those features. The free tier includes a limited number of masks and tracker removal. Phone masking is an additional feature, not a separate email mailbox.
Strengths
- Masks can be labeled and disabled from the dashboard.
- Common tracking pixels can be removed from forwarded mail.
Watch out for
- Alias replies and unlimited masks are premium features.
Best for
- People who want a small set of signup masks through Mozilla
