What it does

Reveal BI is an embedded analytics product from Infragistics. Its client and server SDKs connect application data to dashboards, filtering, drilldowns and conversational analysis, with white-label presentation and deployment in the application's own infrastructure.

Reveal BI supplies client and server software-development kits for embedding analytics in an application. The host application supplies data connections and user context, while Reveal provides dashboards, filtering, drilldowns and optional conversational analysis. It suits a software team building customer-facing reporting.

A basic JavaScript integration needs a running Reveal SDK server and an existing dashboard. In an HTML page, create a dashboard container with a visible height, import the Reveal SDK and set its server URL. Load the dashboard by name, create a RevealView for the container and assign the dashboard to it. Serve the page through a local web server; the client then requests and displays the dashboard. Reveal provides equivalent guides for React, Angular and supported server frameworks.

For ASP.NET, the server setup adds the Reveal package and registers AddReveal(). By default, saved dashboards go in a folder named Dashboards. The application still needs its own access controls and data permissions.

Pricing and licence scope

Reveal provides a personalized flat-rate quote and a 30-day SDK trial. White-label presentation and data connectors are included, with no additional embedding charge as the application's customer count grows.

The full licence covers one named application and up to five registered developers under the published agreement. The trial is for internal evaluation and demonstrations. The agreement makes the host application responsible for authentication and access controls.

Strengths

  • Embeds interactive dashboards through supported client and server SDKs.
  • Includes white-labeling and connectors in the quoted commercial offer.

Watch out for

  • The published licence covers a single named application and up to five registered developers.
  • The trial is limited to internal evaluation and demonstrations.

Best for

  • Software teams adding customer-facing dashboards and exploratory analysis to an existing application
