What it does
XXI publishes French-language narrative journalism, investigations and long reports. Its current website presents extended stories and publication material rather than a general breaking-news feed.
The story-led format suits readers who want to stay with a place or subject for longer. The dated October 2026 selections provide a manageable starting point for sampling its reporting. The site describes a new narrative each week. Topic sections and newsletters provide ways to follow those reports beyond the current selection.
Best for
- Readers seeking extended reported stories in French
