What it does
RiseupVPN is a personal VPN service with a simple client, no account registration and donation-based funding.
RiseupVPN removes the signup step: its instructions say to install the client and run it without registering an account. The desktop tray icon then distinguishes a connected tunnel from a disconnected state and states in which traffic is blocked. That suits a simple connection workflow without a dashboard full of server settings.
The service depends on donations. Riseup says it does not log IP addresses and links an explanation of VPN limitations, which is useful context before relying on any personal VPN.
